I then cut an interesting complementary circle of glass of a larger diameter as the base and a circle of clear glass for the top into the kiln to   to create more depth in design while also stretching the glass larger

the full height of the stake is 16"

This attaches them to the brushed stainless steel and allows for the composition to be changed around

I then combine these components with more black and red glass in a round dam to contain the glass and fired in the kiln to a full fuse
